FINAL CIRCULAR
On behalf of the LOWq-03
Workshop Organizing Committee, we would like to invite
you to attend and
participate in:
**********************************************************************
LOWq-03: 2nd Workshop on
Electromagnetic Nuclear Reactions at
Low Momentum Transfer
WEDNESDAY, July 16 - FRIDAY July 18,
2003
Saint Mary's
University, Halifax, Nova Scotia
Canada
Jointly sponsored by Saint Mary's University
Triangle Universities Nuclear Laboratory
MIT-Bates Linear
Accelerator Center
**********************************************************************
Information on the workshop can be
found at the website
http://www.ap.smu.ca/LOWq03/
Registration and accommodation
information can be found there,
along
with information on Halifax and tourism opportunities in the area.
**********************************************************************
Please
note the following important dates:
June 02, 2003
: IMMINENT! - Last date for hotel reservations at
workshop rate.
July 2nd, 2003 : Registration deadline.
**********************************************************************
Scientific
Program:
There will
be a mix of theoretical and experimental talks in each of
6 sessions, with the emphasis on existing and
foreseeable opportunities
for
doing high-precision physics at low momentum transfer. An updated
list of confirmed speakers can be found on the website.
Even though May 30 is/was the deadline for
contributions (and
sufficient
contributions have been received to fill the Talk slots),
contributions for POSTER presentations
will be accepted up until
the
Registration Deadline. If you would
like to Present a Contributed
Poster,
please send a title and brief abstract by email to
lowq03@ap.smu.ca .
**********************************************************************
Additional
Information:
Talks will be scanned and put on the web for easy
access and reference, and a
CD-ROM with all talks can be requested at
minimal cost. (Scanned talks from
the
first LOWq Workshop in 2001 can be viewed at www.ap.smu.ca/LOWq/ )
Nova
Scotia is a lovely place to visit in the summer, and there is a link to
tourism
information on our website should you be interested in spending more
time
here.
If you have any other questions or concerns, please send email
to the workshop
at lowq03@ap.smu.ca .
Please distribute this
registration information to your students, colleagues,
and any other
people who might have an interest in precision low-momentum
electromagnetic
physics.
We hope to see you in Halifax this summer!
